Juan Jos\u00e9 Novo Gabeiras.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <strong>Misas<\/strong>: S\u00e1bado: 20:00 h. | Domingo: 11:00 h.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <strong>Referencias hist\u00f3ricas y art\u00edsticas<\/strong>: Iglesia parroquial de planta de cruz latina, con crucero bien marcado y cabecera rematada en \u00e1bside semicircular, fabricada en siller\u00eda gran\u00edtica y cubierta con pizarra, que comienza a construirse en 1890 bajo el patrocinio del obispo Fern\u00e1ndez de Castro y bajo la direcci\u00f3n del arquitecto provincial Nemesio Cobreros. Sus obras se rematan en el a\u00f1o 1900 y se consagra en 1901. Su construcci\u00f3n obedece a la iniciativa del obispo Fern\u00e1ndez de dotar a la parroquia de Santiago de sede propia (hasta entonces se encontraba en la Catedral) y para poner fin a los enfrentamientos entre el p\u00e1rroco y los capitulares. Frontis sencillo con grandes ventanales ojivales y esbelta torre central. Interior: retablos neog\u00f3ticos con esculturas modernas, de consonancia con el tono del edificio. Desde el amplio atrio que circunvala esta iglesia se obtiene una buena panor\u00e1mica del valle mindoniense. Constituye una de las iglesias m\u00e1s interesantes del estilo neog\u00f3tico de Galicia.
