Tiene una superficie de 5,89 km2 y sus entidades poblacionales son: Barreiro, As Cruces, Dompi\u00f1or, Folgosa, A Eirexa, O Outeiro, Rio, Vilar, O Morgull\u00f3n y O Alto dos Pinos.<\/p>\n<p>Fiestas: \u00daltimo domingo de septiembre: Santo Cristo.<\/p>\n<p>Referencias hist\u00f3ricas y art\u00edsticas: La iglesia parroquial fue donada por Fernando II al obispo de Mondo\u00f1edo en el a\u00f1o 1182 para que se estableciese la capital de la di\u00f3cesis en Mondo\u00f1edo.
