Tiene una superficie de 2,12 km2 y su poblaci\u00f3n se agrupa en la siguientes entidades: As Barreiras, O Campoxurado, As Casas de Abaixo, O Circo, A Cruz, A Eirexa, A Lodeira, O Outeiro, A Senra, O Cargadoiro, A Granxa, A Torre, Os Galos y O Esp\u00edn. En su iglesia se venera la c\u00e9lebre imagen de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de Vilasel\u00e1n, de gran devoci\u00f3n en toda la comarca.
