La parroquia perteneci\u00f3 a la vicar\u00eda de Chantr\u00eda y al antiguo arciprestazgo de Breto\u00f1a. El coto de Cadavedo formaba parte de la jurisdicci\u00f3n del valle de Lorenzana. Iglesia parroquial reedificada en el siglo XX.
