En la actualidad Cha\u00edn se halla enclavado en la feligres\u00eda de Santo Andr\u00e9 de Ferreiros. Perteneci\u00f3 al extinguido arcedianato o vicar\u00eda de Az\u00famara. El patronato lo ejerc\u00eda la encomienda de San Marcos de Le\u00f3n. En la aldea de Mi\u00f1oto desemboca el Mi\u00f1otelo en su padre el Mi\u00f1o, a pocos pasos de la laguna o fuente de Fonmi\u00f1\u00e1. Iglesia parroquial reedificada en 1907, siendo cura don Aquilino Gonz\u00e1lez P\u00e9rez.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 <strong>Otros edificios y monumentos<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Capilla das Plazas<\/em>: Dedicada a Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Carmen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Casa da Eirexa<\/em>: Llamada tambi\u00e9n do Vinculeiro, fue de los se\u00f1ores de Sarille.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prehistoria y etnograf\u00eda<\/em>: Lugar do Castro con finca As Coroas.
