\u00b7 Referencias hist\u00f3ricas<\/strong>: Templo de la antigua congregaci\u00f3n Servita de los Dolores, erigida en la primitiva iglesia parroquial del puerto -en Ferrol Vello- el 6 de diciembre de 1750 en el oratorio del Stmo. Cristo de los Navegantes. En esta capilla se encontraba la efigie de la Dolorosa. Aqu\u00ed realiz\u00f3 su vida la Congregaci\u00f3n hasta 1762, a\u00f1o en que fue cerrada al culto por su mal estado y la imagen de la Dolorosa fue trasladada a la nueva parroquia provisional, la capilla de San Roque. Durante esta \u00e9poca de fiebre constructiva en Ferrol, se pens\u00f3 en levantar un nuevo templo dentro de la nueva poblaci\u00f3n de la Magdalena, a cuenta de las limosnas de los hermanos y dem\u00e1s gentes piadosas. Su ubicaci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 en un solar de la plaza occidental y que pasar\u00e1 a llamarse plaza de Dolores, hoy de Amboage. El arquitecto Juli\u00e1n S\u00e1nchez Bort, por aquel entonces director de las obras del Arsenal, acord\u00f3 con sus due\u00f1os la compra de los terrenos. La capilla fue proyectada e iniciada en 1771 no sin problemas de financiaci\u00f3n. A lo largo de su historia ya ha vivido tres per\u00edodos de cierre muy importantes, de 30 a\u00f1os en el siglo XIX el de mayor duraci\u00f3n y durante el cual el templo se vio sometido a diversas remodelaciones, confirmando en buena medida los peores augurios del arquitecto real Solinis durante su construcci\u00f3n en el siglo anterior. El 14 de febrero de 2017, tras la misa del Mi\u00e9rcoles de Ceniza, el obispado de Mondo\u00f1edo-Ferrol cierra al culto la hoy iglesia parroquial debido a un agravamiento de sus da\u00f1os estructurales. Capilla de Santa Mar\u00eda de Caranza<\/em>: Al adentrarnos en el populoso barrio de Caranza, creaci\u00f3n urban\u00edstica de los a\u00f1os setenta del siglo XX, vemos al borde del mar, la peque\u00f1a capilla de Santa Mar\u00eda. Hay noticias que la fechan en el siglo XVII, aunque en la forma como hoy est\u00e1 se debe a una rehabilitaci\u00f3n que tuvo lugar en los a\u00f1os noventa. La ermita es de planta basilical de una sola nave, con un cuerpo que se acusa al exterior (el dedicado a la sacrist\u00eda). La fachada es de mamposter\u00eda, remat\u00e1ndose por una espada\u00f1a simple. La presencia de un crucero, que solo muestra una imagen de Mar\u00eda con Jes\u00fas muerto, pone una nota de espiritualidad al lugar. A los pies de la capilla hay enterrados restos mortales procedentes del antiguo cementerio. La iglesia parroquial de Santa Cruz de Canido cerr\u00f3 al culto el 13 de octubre de 2019, unific\u00e1ndose con la de San Rosendo, decisi\u00f3n que se engloba en la reorganizaci\u00f3n a nivel de unidades pastorales que est\u00e1 llevando a cabo la di\u00f3cesis. En la actualidad funciona en sus instalaciones el despacho de C\u00e1ritas Santa Cruz de Canido.<\/p>\n

Referencias hist\u00f3ricas y art\u00edsticas<\/strong>: Iglesia parroquial ubicada en el actual campus universitario de Esteiro. Antiguamente era la capilla del Hospital de San Carlos de Marina (mediados del XX). Nave principal, cubierta a dos aguas. Fuertes reminiscencias neocl\u00e1sicas y barrocas en su fachada principal.<\/p>\n

Referencias hist\u00f3ricas y art\u00edsticas<\/strong>: Construido en el siglo XVIII en el barrio de Esteiro, que era el barrio popular de Ferrol. Quiz\u00e1s por ello toda su arquitectura es sobria, edificada en estilo proto-neocl\u00e1sico. El elemento m\u00e1s hermoso es su fachada principal: est\u00e1 compuesta por una portada de piedra con un front\u00f3n semicircular y una hornacina. En 1852 se ampli\u00f3 con una hermosa torre campanario. Tanto el exterior como el interior son de l\u00edneas simples, con pa\u00f1os blancos. La planta del templo es de una sola nave, dividida en tres tramos y cubierta por b\u00f3veda de ca\u00f1\u00f3n con una cornisa en todo el edificio. En la cabecera se encuentra una talla muy venerada por los ferrolanos: la Virgen de las Angustias, con su Hijo en brazos.
